We are offering a special welcome to families with children (of all ages, of course) this month. We will drum, do some crystal bowl toning, and offer some prayers of thanksgiving, followed by a wiener and marshmallow roast. It gets dark REALLY EARLY right now, so festivities can begin around 5:30.  Bring a drum if you can.

ALSO, Mark your calendars now for the Winter Solstice Celebration, Friday December 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Open Arms. We won’t be celebrating the end of the world (the Mayan Calendar ends December 21), but the beginning of a new year and our hopes for a new world.

Peace Challenge Camp takes place at St. Francis of the Woods Retreat Center.  The dates this summer were July 16-20, 2012.

We are a small camp but had a great time.  We had an excellent small group experience especially for children who needs this kind of opportunity but who otherwise might not get it.

The camp focused on teamwork, conflict resolution shared leadership, clear communication, and developing internalized self-discipline.

Each drumming event is preceded by a vegetarian potluck. Potluck is at 7:30, drumming begins at 8:00 p.m.
